First time. I missed my bus tonight. I reserved for this trip 30 days ago and I just missed it. Poof.
Irresponsible, I know.
Consequences:
1. I will be able to do the final preparations needed for this one account I would have left hanging had I pushed through.
2. I will be able to dine with my dear officemates for our "chrismas lunch", although I bet aasarin nila ako kasi nagpaalamanan na kami kanina.
3. I will be able to pack my things with more thought than what I did kanina kasi naman less than an hour before the trip ako nakapag-empake.
4. Hmm, I will be able to receive my boss' gift before the christmas rather than after the new year. Kaya lang, I'm having second thoughts, parang kinakabahan ata ako sa regalo niya dahil mula pa daw sa malayong lugar regalo niya samin... Hmmm....
5. I might be able to have a sip of tequila after all. Asar-talo talaga ako bukas, I bet!
Oh well, I deserve it.
Merry Christmas everyone!

According to the news, two of the most affected areas in the country by the typhoon Reming (Durian) were Albay and Naga. My sister told me the wind was really "angry", it displaced a neighbor's roof, a neighbor's nipa house and another neighbor's nipa store. It also uprooted our chico tree and the gate at our backyard. Still, thank God there was not as much rain as previous typhoons because ours was a flood-prone area being by the riverside.
One thing though, being the electricity-dependent generation that we are, they have to re-learn to live without electricity for a while, (shortest time would be 2 weeks according to the local electricity provider) as there were quite a few electric posts brought down by the 'angry' wind.
Since there's be no electricity for two whole weeks, I suggested they conserve the cellphone battery, they should switch on only one phone at a time. Okay lang daw kasi may free charging sa SMART office sa Naga. At eto pa, in this time of calamity, they are also offering free calls doon sa Naga, but I guess it should be Smart-to-Smart lang... hmm, that I have to clarify. Amazing no? :-)
And all along, ang Globe, wala daw signal sabi ng kapatid ko kaya gamit ng mom ko yung unit niya ngayon since no use naman ang kanyang Globe SIM card.
P.S. No, I was not paid to put up this entry. Hehe.

Every. Second. Counts.
This, I believe is what went on the mind of coach Norman Black when he steered the Ateneo Blue Eagles to its first win in this year's best-of-three UAAP championship finals. Tonight's game would definitely go down in history. Ganun ang magandang game. Close fight talaga til the last second. I remember that both the half time and third quarter scores were tied (pati ba first quarter?).
I was already preparing myself for the taunts I bet I'll get at the office tomorrow, after the UST guy launched his 2-pointer shot leaving ateneo with only a second to execute a play. The ateneo crowd was so disheartened, if I may say, dahil kasali ako sa mga almost hopeless na.
I thought that coach and the team were wasting their time formulating a play. Halow- 1 second na lang kaya! I saw something like that in PBA (Talk N Text) pero 2seconds ata yun o 3 seconds. 1 second- kaya pa kaya yun?! Only a few had the energy to still cheer on the team.
Then, the amazing thing happened - they left a blue eagle open, libreng-libre to shoot that one last shot to nail in ateneo's game1 victory. We yelled like there was no tomorrow and jumped up and down as if there was enough space (Ü). I was smiling from ear to ear that I think I pressed my eyes so hard, kasi napansin ko na lang pagkatapos parang may little tears na sa sides ng mata ko. Hihi. Everyone was giving each other high-fives, kahit hindi magkakilala. Astig talaga. Saya! Salamat Robbie for the free tix! c",)

Dangerous combination: matalino at sabi nga ni Sitti: "...coz I know you're the dangerous kind". Gwapo ni Yael Yuzon (!) - mukhang pasaway at matalino. Naging champion na pala siya sa Game KNB... :)

It nevertheless eliminated the need for mushy I'm sorry's and dramatic accusations. Although I wanted to speak, I fear I won't be able to do justice for my thoughts. There are some things fortunately left unsaid (it saves shame for some, hehe). But I trust some things were agreed on, even without laying out the rules verbally (a sigh of relief). For the 'start', and the second 'start', salamat.
Nuff of mush, back to work!![]()
